Winter Pavilion at Swarovski Kristallwelten

Winter Pavilion at Swarovski Kristallwelten

Our Winter Pavilion has opened in Swarovski Kristallwelten.

Imagined as a frozen romantic winter palace which has become overgrown, the pavilion also features our animated story 'The Winterstar', a tale about the time the Winterstar went missing and all the forest creatures worked together to bring it back.

Along with the Christmas Star which tops the magnificent Christmas tree, our installation of sparkling sculptures and the Christmas windows for the Swarovski stores in Innsbruck and Vienna, we’ve created a lot of magical sparkle at Swarovski this year.

Presenting Luminous Reflections for Swarovski during London Design Festival

Presenting Luminous Reflections for Swarovski during London Design Festival

A new collection of chandeliers and crystal lighting components, designed exclusively for Swarovski Crystal Palace, will be presented at Design Frontiers located at Somerset House, during this year’s London Design Festival.

For the first time, I have had the opportunity to change the shape of the lighting crystals. I wanted a ‘soft light’ effect; the quality of light you see in a misty or snowy landscape or on a lake as dancing light reflections.

2 years in development, Luminous Reflections comprises four lighting pieces and three specially developed lighting components.

2017 marks 15 years of collaboration between Swarovski and Tord Boontje.

Design Frontiers is a group exhibition and will run from 18-24 September 2017.

Dawn to Dusk at Riverside Gardens in Nine Elms

Dawn to Dusk at Riverside Gardens in Nine Elms

Dawn to Dusk, a series of rotating seats located along the Thames Path in South West London launches to coincide with Chelsea Fringe, an annual festival of flowers, gardens and gardening.

I was inspired after learning that J.M.W. Turner apparently used to come here to the river to paint at this unique spot where you can see the sun rising and setting above the water. The benches and chairs are designed to turn towards the view of your choosing.
