Crystals and Gold for HP's Spectre laptop

This week, as part of the New York Times’ International Luxury Conference 2016 in Versailles, a Tord Boontje special edition of HP’s new ultra-thin Spectre notebook was unveiled.

The design features ornate patterns integrating cherry blossoms, graceful floras, a peacock and a butterfly; all set together on a Midnight-Blue background to create a magical nightscape. The gold details provide contrast with the patterns that gently intertwine with embedded Swarovski crystals.

Alongside another edition created in partnership with jewellery designer Jess Hannah, HP will auction a limited number of devices at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2016 with the proceeds going to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
