The Victoria and Albert Museum commissioned Alexander McQueen and Tord Boontje to collaborate on a special Christmas Tree for the main hall of the museum in December 2003.
Silent Light is a 6-metre high polished stainless steel structure with 150,000 Swarovski crystals attached. The whole tree stands on a large turntable and slowly rotates around, creating a vibrant sparkling effect.
