Chelsea Flower Show

Lucy Smith and Tord Boontje share a passion for nature's beauty, flowers and creatures. Their collaboration at the Chelsea Flower Show brings together their complementary bodies of work which include motifs from flora and fauna with a contemporary form, language and clarity.

Their combined stand is designed by Tord Boontje as a
gallery / garden concept. The space is constructed with low plinths in a geometrical arrangement to showcase their objects. The whole space and plinths are covered with a lush green printed pattern, resembling the green layering of a garden.

The stand is produced by Studio Tord Boontje who also screen printed the fabrics by hand in their London studio. The planting has been selected by Lucy Smith to complement the pattern and includes euphorbias, hostas, ferns, rushes and ivy.
